Ruud Indoor Furnace cased coils and replacement uncased coils are designed for use with Ruud outdoor units and are available for vertical upflow or
downflow, and horizontal left or horizontal right airflow.
Features
This is a vertical coil that can be used on air conditioning systems or heat pumps
Can be used on gas or oil furnaces, but cannot be used on 14 wide oil furnaces and cannot be installed as horizontal left application on
any oil furnace
Coils are tested at the factory with an extensive refrigerant leak check
Constructed of aluminum fins bonded to internally grooved copper tubing
Copper sweat refrigerant connections
Coils feature two sets of 3/4 inch condensate drain connections for ease of connection
Unique drain pan design maximizes application flexibility and condensate removal
Condensate drain pan is constructed of high grade, heat resistant, corrosion free thermal set material
Compatible with Germicidal UV Resistant Light System
Bi-directional air flow eliminates the need to switch any internal components from horizontal left to right
Scroll compressor for maximum efficiency and quiet operation - Louvered condenser compartment for protecting the coil against yard hazards
and/or weather extremes - One piece top with a deep flange to help keep water out of the unit - Supply and return air openings feature a one inch
tall flange to prevent water migration into the ductwork - Access panels have weep holes and channels to further help manage water run off - Easily
accessible blower section complete with slide out blower - Refrigerant connections are conveniently located for easy service diagnostics -
Condenser and evaporator coils feature enhanced fins for better heat transfer and rifled copper tubing for greater efficiency - Inside the easily
accessible furnace compartment is the draft inducer motor - Inshot gas burners and manifold efficiently regulate the flow of gas for combustion -
Gas/electric units feature direct spark ignition and remote flame sensors for added reliability and efficiency - Units feature an internal trap on the
condensate line, eliminating the need for installing an on site external trap - Easily accessible control box - Single point wiring - Tubular heat
exchanger
Supply air 10-5/16 inch front to back and 19-1/2 inches wide - Return air 19-3/4 inches front to back and 19-1/2 inches wide - No filter rack
Versatile 4 way convertible design for upflow, downflow, horizontal left and horizontal right applications - Factory installed high efficiency indoor coil
Sturdy construction with 1 inch of reinforced foil faced jacket insulation for excellent thermal and sound insulation
Four leg blower motor mount - Blower housing with controls, motor and blower use a slide out design for service and maintenance convenience
Expansion valve on indoor coil provides for operation with air conditioning or heat pump using the same coil - Coils are constructed of aluminum fins bonded to internally grooved copper tubing
Molded polymer corrosion resistant condensate drain pan is provided on all indoor coils - Supply duct flanges provided as standard on air handler cabinet
Provisions for field electrical and other connections available from either side or top of the air handler cabinet
Connection point for high voltage wiring is inside the air handler cabinet - Low voltage connection is made on the outside of the air handler cabinet
Concentric knockouts are provided for power connection to cabinet - Installer may pull desired hole size up to 2 inches for 1-1/2 inch conduit
Shipped in downflow configuration - Can be converted to horizontal left hand - Primary heat exchanger is constructed of aluminized steel - Secondary heat exchanger is constructed of stainless steel
Low profile "34 inch" design is lighter and easier to handle and leaves room for optional accessories - Left or right side gas and condensate drainage connections - Top electrical connections
Integrated control board manages all operational functions and provides hookups for humidifier and electronic air cleaner
Slow-opening gas valve and a specially designed inducer system make it one of the quietest furnaces on the market today
Galvanized steel cabinet - Control board diagnostics
