All PVC SCH 80/XH fittings shall be produced by Spears® manufacturing company from PVC type I, cell classification 12454, conforming to ASTM Standard D1784. All injection molded PVC SCH 80/XH fittings shall be certified for potable water service by NSF® international manufactured in strict compliance to ASTM D2467. All fabricated fittings shall be produced in accordance with Spears® general specifications for fabricated fittings. All PVC flanges shall be designed and manufactured to meet CL150 bolt pattern per ANSI Standard B16.5 and rated for a maximum internal pressure of 150 psi, non-shock at 73 deg F.

When it comes to press-to-connect fittings for high-pressure HVAC/R applications, you can choose the original RLS press fittings (sold under the ZoomLock brand from 2015-2019) which were specifically designed and engineered for HVAC/R and have been used successfully around the world for more than 8 years. Nylon fittings are tough and great for water well, underground, barns, livestock and watering systems. These are not ideal for applications exposed to sunlight as ultraviolet rays will cause fittings to become brittle.
