PVC SCH 40/STD is highly durable, with high tensile and impact strength. It is easy to install and has better sound deadening qualities than PVC SCH 40/STD DWV Foam Core. Installation requires the use of primer and solvent cement. For DWV applications, gradual sloping DWV fittings must be used.

Overview
Use Uponor AquaPEX(R) white straight-length pipe in domestic hot, cold, and hot-water recirculation systems as well as AquaSAFE(TM) residential fire safety systems. The pipe is available in sizes from 1/2" to 3" in 20-foot lengths. It is also suitable for use in hydronic heating and/or cooling applications where the system contains no ferrous corrodible components or where any ferrous components are isolated from the pipe.
Pre-insulated Wirsbo® hePEX™ features oxygen-barrier PEX pipe encased in polyethylene-foam insulation to meet ASHRAE 90.1-2013 energy-code requirements for hydronic piping and radiant heating/cooling applications. The piping is approved for direct burial in soil provided it is not exposed to groundwater. Uponor recommends adding 1/2 in of insulation to accommodate for foam compression in direct-burial applications.
