Product Description

Overview

The Series 80000 tank warmers were designed and engineered to fit small tanks containing fuel oil that was subject to congealing or thickening in cold weather. Utilizing a UL/CSA approved power source this system introduces safe limited warmth directly into the center lower portion of an oil tank. A built-in thermostat turns the heater on when the temperature in the upper part of the tank reaches 40 degrees. This will occur before the contents reach that temperature. Almost instantly the oil begins to warm and circulate in the tank. The convection pattern causes additional warmth as a result of the friction from the circulating oil molecules. The surface temperature of the brass unit in an empty tank can only reach 200 degrees, a design consideration based on the elements used and the power supply provided with the system. It is very difficult to predict that this warmer will eliminate all problems in cold weather for all tanks considering the varying conditions that exist. It is wise to provide and enclosure for the outside tanks as well. These will help retain heat, pick up solar heat, and provide protection from undue wind chill.

Features

  • Fits 275, 330, and 48" dia. 1000 gallon tanks
  • UL Current limited power supply
  • Thermostat starts heating at 40 degrees F
