This FloodSafe water detector shutoff for spark ignition gas or oil fired water heaters protects the homeowner from catastrophic damage in the event of a water heater leak by using state of the art water detection technology. It detects the presence of water on the floor beneath the water heater and will automatically shut off the water supply and power source to the water heater. This 3/4 inch safety valve detector is easily testable and resettable by the contractor or home owner to ensure proper operation. It consists of an integral control unit, a water dam, power supply, power cut-out module with spark ignited, oil fired pilot, and water detection pad.
