The Ultra Series U98V is part of a new line of Ruud smart heating and cooling products.   • When used with a modulating or communicating thermostat, modulation rate is between 40% and 100% of total capacity
  • When used with a two stage thermostat, the furnace operates between 40% and 65% on the first stage and 100% for the second stage
  • When used with a single stage thermostat, the furnace functions as a three stage furnace operating at 40%, 65% and 100% of total capacity

Overview

The Ruud RHGM Commercial heat pump air handler includes an inherently protected motor mounted inside the insulated cabinet, field piping connections made through a fixed post between two side access panels, and may be installed in horizontal or vertical applications.

Features

  • This is a multiposition heat pump air handler: Vertical or horizontal
  • Inherently protected motor is mounted inside the insulated cabinet to reduce motor noise
  • Low profile allows for horizontal installation and allows the unit to be moved through most standard doorways
  • Two thermal expansion valves with internal check valves
  • One inch throwaway filters are standard, but the filter racks are designed to accept either one inch or two inch filters
  • Two circuit, interlaced row split coils are constructed with copper tubing and aluminum fins mechanically bonded to the tubing
  • Refrigerant connections are made through a fixed post located between two side access panels on either side of the unit.
  • The galvanized steel drain pan is designed to trap condensate in either vertical or horizontal installations
  • Two removable panels on top and each side of the unit are easily removed for access to motors, blowers, sheaves and filters
