It also has an isolated end switch to start the boiler and/or pump. When the thermostat calls for heat, the Fan Control energizes the end switch relay and allows the fan to operate at low speed when the water is above the optional aquastat setting. When the thermostat calls for cooling, the Fan Control energizes the condenser and operates on high speed. The Fan Control also includes three built in fan time delay options, two selectable pump exercise modes, a secondary aquastat connection for freeze protection and the ability to switch a pump and / or boiler.

The Taco SmartPlug is designed to upgrade any hot water recirculation system. SmartPlug replaces inefficient timers and aquastats typically used in recirculation systems. It adds intelligence to your system by learning when hot water is used in the home. The pipe- mounted temperature sensor records daily hot water usage patterns during the course of a week. Recorded data is used to automatically run the circulator at the same times the following week. So hot water is always available when it's needed. If usage pattern changes, the SmartPlug adjusts automatically.

By locating the removable, spring-loaded IFC inside the pump casing, a separate in-line flow check is eliminated, reducing installation costs.
